 Early advocate for increased interaction among workers in clinical trial coordinating centers, which led to the formation of the Society, NHLBI program officer for many of the most significant of the early multicenter trials, including the Coronary Drug Project, the Multiple Risk Factor Intervention Trial, the Hypertension Detection and Follow-up Program, the Beta-Blocker Heart Attack Trial, and many others, early member of the Societys Board of Directors and past president of the Society.
