2010 SCT Fellow: Roy Beck
 Roy is the founder and director of Jaeb Center for Health Research, a well-respected Coordinating Center, which has supported a largely
community-based practice network of pediatric ophthalmologists.
Roy has been a leader in clinical trials in ophthalmology that have changed the management of patients with optic neuritis, herpetic eye disease, diabetic retinopathy, and amblyopia. He has been a creative innovator in developing efficient and accurate approaches to data capture and an electronic visual acuity testing protocol. Finally, Roy has been a long-time, active member of SCT including membership on the Board of Directors, the Program Committee, and the Web Policy Committee.
