2008 SCT Fellow: Frank W. Rockhold
 In his current position in a major pharmaceutical company, he oversees all programs in statistics, epidemiology, programming, clinical data management, decision sciences and health care databases. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium, which is setting worldwide standards for the collection and storage of electronic information related to clinical research. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Group for the International Clinical Trials Registry Project of the World Health Organization.
Particularly important have been his contributions to the International Conference on Harmonization and, more recently, attempts to develop good advice on areas of particular interest, such as adaptive designs. He represents a model of industry involvement in setting and promoting excellence and high standards.
