2008 SCT Fellow: Ruth McBride
 She has made substantial contributions to the advancement of clinical trials for over three decades, including noteworthy contributions to seminal trials in a variety of medical areas, exemplary service to the SCT in numerous leadership positions, and the development of scientific and technical research data management systems.
She was instrumental in organizing the group of individuals who published a 1995 monograph on data management in multicenter studies.
Her care, dedication, creativity, and ability to work collaboratively have been key factors in the development and conduct of the highest quality clinical trials.
