2007 SCT Fellow: Sylvan B. Green (now deceased)
 Sylvan B. Green was one of the first members of the Society with a primary focus on cancer trials, an area that had received little attention until then. In fact, this physician/statistician has spent a good deal of energy over the years of raising the consciousness of the Society of the importance of expanding the Societys focus in many disease areas. Conversely, he has also spent a good deal of energy teaching (evangelizing?) proper clinical trial methodology at educational meetings of other professional and medical societies. He has also been an associate editor of Controlled Clinical Trials, the former official journal of the Society. For SCT itself, he has been a valued proponent and organizer of the pre-conference workshops and has, in fact, participated more often as a faculty member of these workshops than anyone else. He has also participated in many other SCT activities and on many committees and has served a SCT President.
